Blair is adopted as Labour candidate by the Sedgefield constituency, and
John Burton, his agent, introduces him by saying 'I would trust this man
with my life'. Immediately we're asked to comment; I track Reg down and he
makes a dignified and lethal response.
"The families of 85 British servicemen trusted Blair with their sons' lives.
They trusted that he was acting with integrity and honesty when he sent them
to war on the basis of Iraqi WMDs.
"Their trust was misplaced; they come home in coffins, their oaths of
allegiance betrayed."
