Wind cancels the Ferryhill Friday market, so we take to the housing estates.
To those who are used to fighting elections in inner-city areas, Sedgefield
must seem like a huge and scattered constituency, with small ex-coalfield
townscapes wrapped around by pleasant countryside - there are even rumours
of a fox-hunting set down at the southern end. But we will be focusing a lot
of attention on the towns, particularly Newton Aycliffe, the heart of the
constituency, with 28,000 voters.
And the office furniture arrives! We now have premises both in Newton
Aycliffe and in Fishburn. Volunteers please ring 01740 664942. We will
welcome you with open arms.
We send Reg home to Wales for the weekend. He needs a rest and time to
consolidate and digest what's been happening. And he needs time with his
family.
